1 〔先に着手すること〕 【囲碁】 placing the first stone; 【将棋】 moving first; 【トランプ】 one's [the] lead; 〔人〕 the player who goes first [has (the) first move].

●先手で打つ have (the) first move

・先手で勝つ[負ける] win [lose] a game in which one has made the first [initial] move.
